We give up.
Myself, Degort and Valderon have tried everything we can think of to make this guild work. Various measures have been taken: friendly requests, clear-cut rules, zero-tolerance, nothing is working. We have put a mammoth amount of time and energy into this guild. We built it up twice. But at this point, we realise there's nothing more we can do. All options have been exhausted. There is no way forward.
Valderon was quite worn out from work today. He is still inactive, so he was hoping to simply log on for a few moments, say a few hellos, then log off and unwind. Instead, he was bombarded by various people. Knowing he wasn't up to it, he tried to leave, but they were insistent on talking to him. That is unfair.
The three of us want to thank everyone who contributed to make this guild what it is. There are so many of you who have been amazing, so helpful, so patient, so hard-working. It is with a heavy heart that we make this decision. We have had some great times in Genesis. It is almost painful to turn our backs on it. But at this point it is causing us so much stress and heart-ache that it's just not worth it anymore. Especially when there are people we work hard to accomodate who show zero respect for our efforts.
Perhaps some people will think we are quitters. That when the going got tough we couldn't handle it? You're welcome to your opinions. But personally, we think we tried our best, endured far longer than we wanted to, and that things just didn't work out.
So, we wish you all the best. May the wind always be at your back and, as always, Good Hunting! _________________

Degort's Goodbye:
What Kurtis said above is a general feeling through the three of us, but I want to convey my personal feelings on this to you all. It goes without say that there's been a negative feeling in Genesis for the past few weeks. This negative feeling had to go, and we did everything we could to push us back on track again. We've failed, but let it be said that this was a very difficult situation to recover from.
We've made some mistakes sure, but no one can deny that the time and effort we've put into this guild is unquestionable. We've given this our all, our passion.
I'm honored to have met certain people here; Coldsnap, Anyte, Ben, Galv, the list goes on and on. But then there's the heartache and pathetic drabble that makes this feel like a second job. To all my friends, I thank you for making this as much of a pleasure as you could. Without you, Genesis wouldn't have lasted as long as it has.
This wasn't an easy step for us to take, but we really do feel that we've passed the point of no return. We can't recover from here. And if we could, I don't feel it's worth the effort. I want to keep in touch with my friends here, but I don't feel I could ever participate in managing a guild again after this. I don't have the motivation anymore.
My sincere goodbye to the minority that I enjoy playing with,
And my two fingers to the people who've collectively made this a chore beyond limits,
- Degort. _________________ Noorlong ( Aka: N00blong, Noorloot, Borelong )

Nearly everything has been said that needs to be said. There is a lot of things that people don't realise, behind closed doors, the abuse we get and then to see people twist that to their own advan.. I'll stop.
I want to say thank you to most of you, it's been a pleasure knowing you and being with you. |

Thank you for the time I had here. I've enjoyed it a lot.
It makes me sad it ended like this. The amount time and effort put down to run this isn't small, I know. Thank you for making my game a nice experince.
Even though you've done some things wrong, so did we all. And the one who fail to see and respect the work you've put down, makes a bigger mistake than you've done.
Good luck to al of you! |

New Genesis had its ups and downs, but I prefer to remember the ups. It's a shame to become a WoW nomad again, but it's better to quit while still ahead.
So long and thanks for all the fish! |

That's very sad!
I think it was most fun in the beginning, after that when more and more people started to join it sort of started to fall apart.
Anyway lets remeber the good times, and thanks to all of you! |

A huge thank you to Degort, Kurtis and Valderon for the effort put into the guild both in version 1 and version 2. Although the end result hasn't worked out I won't be forgetting the e-mazing times and friendships I've forged in this/these guilds. I'm interested to know, if you aren't staying on Blade's Edge where the three of you are heading off to so that I can keep in touch - if you are staying in the game at all! This goes for any other friends I have made in the guild aswell. Personally I will see what state of affairs the horde is in when I return from my exams before making a decision.
Sad to see another guild deteriorate, I'm sure that I have a curse! But thanks again for the effort displayed both from the leadership and a select few of the membership, and I hope to see that not everyone has left when I return. _________________ Ambassador, Merrymaker, Bloodsail Admiral, Elder, Matron, Mewmew Jenkins the Noble, the Undying, the Hallowed, the Argent Champion, the Love Fool, the Explorer, the Diplomat, Champion of the Frozen Wastes and Guardian of Cenarius... of the Shattered Sun! |

Saw it coming. I'm very sad that Genesis had to STOP. You guys where the ones who kept my priest alive, and got him to level 80. It ia you that i can thank, that i've felt the joy of healing, and completing Naxx for my first time.
I can say this without lying: This have been, in my 2 and a half year of WoW, the best guild i've ever been a part of.
So thank you guys for all the memories, and good luck in your future adventures in World of Warcraft.
Great job done by the Founders and the Guild Master
Thanks -Gnimse-
